How to Measure Your Ring Size

If you already own a ring that fits well: measure its inner diameter in millimeters and match it to the chart below.

If you don't:

1. Wrap a soft measuring tape or a strip of string around the base of your finger.
2. Mark where it overlaps, then measure that length.
3. Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest, for the most accurate everyday fit.

If you're between two sizes, size up. A ring that's slightly loose is more comfortable long-term than one that's slightly tight.

Men's rings tend to run wider in band width, and wider bands feel snugger than thin ones at the same stated size; many people size up half a size for a wide band versus a thin one.
